APPA Code of Conduct training

Year: 2021

I worked with The Australasian Promotional Products Association (APPA) to create compliance training around their Code of Conduct. The risk with this training is that would be irrelevant, dry and boring for participants; a “tick and flick” exercise.

Our aim was to manage this risk by working with APPA members to create realistic scenarios where the Code of Conduct may or may not apply, with the participant making some nuanced choices.

The course was a success, with comments from participants such as:

  • Really good stuff - forces members to be up to date and actually read the Code of Conduct.

  • Great! Create more courses like these to cover more topics. These questions are great way to learn. I'd get my staff to do it.

  • The questions were good at making me spend time looking at the Code of Conduct properly and not skimming over it like I normally would do.

  • I thought it was a really good way to look at scenarios that commonly arise in business relationships and how the Code of Conduct applies.

Building on this success, we are working on a follow up course to launch in 2023.
