Managing Myopia was the first elearning course to train optometrists in the emerging field of myopia management. It has been a big success, with thousands of optometrists from all over the world signing up of their own accord.

I was the lead instructional designer and developer on the course, and we used best-practice learning design, including a strong focus on realistic scenario-based interactions that learners would commonly face in their role.

We also used innovative interactions such as asynchronous audience polling as well as social discussion board activities. We built in high levels of interaction throughout and a focus on graphic design gave the course a clean, modern look.
